Ok so the good bits...

·         Caroline, she’s possibly one of the most random characters ever but she’s brilliant.

·         The Wallbanger aka Simon just swoon!!!! Nuff said.

·         Alice Clayton writes really good funny!!

And the not so good bits...

·         I needed more Pink Nightie Girl and Wallbanger banter!!

Ok so I loved Wallbanger its bloody brilliant and I have been really looking forward to the release of Rusty Nailed although I didn’t realise it would be a follow on book for Caroline & Simon. I have to admit that was a very pleasant shock for some reason I thought it would be either Mimi & Ryan or Sophia & Neil who took centre stage.

I love Caroline, she’s hilarious and to be honest a bit of a hot mess. I doubt there is a female reader out there who doesn’t relate to her in one way or another.

The running inner dialogue she has throughout the book is bloody funny and its genius how Alice Clayton has Caroline being sarcastic towards herself lol.

I love the Wallbanger he’s sexy but in this book he really develops a deeper sensitive side, we get a glimpse at his life before the death of his parents and I loved the fact that we got to see him develop as a character.

I sort of loved how Caroline freaks out at how her and Simons relationship is going again all female readers are going to say at some point in their lives they have felt exactly the same.

It was great to see Mimi, Sophia, Neil, Ryan, Jillian & Benjamin all be a part of this book, I love a good group of friend characters.

Caroline & Simon have great chemistry but I didn’t find this book anywhere near as sexy as its predecessor Wallbanger.

I will be honest I missed the banter and spark between Caroline & Simon, don’t get me wrong I love that they are living happily ever after but I missed that, I hate you but really love you vibe.

I love sarcasm and Alice Clayton made a sarcastic icon in Caroline. Parts of this book had me literally LOLing.

I think Viv will be a brilliant additional character and I am really looking forward to her story coming soon in book #3 in the series Screwdrivered.

Overall I really enjoyed Rusty Nailed, it’s funny a bit sexy and overall just a lovely big hug of a book 4 stars!!

Uninhibited is book #4 in the Beachwood Bay Series and #2 in The New Callahan’s Series, I recently Read the Novella Unrequited which is the prequel to this book so I was super excited to get started on Uninhibited.

I was given this ARC by the publisher in exchange for an honest review so here goes...

The Good Bits....

·         Dex, he gets even better in this book, alpha, sexy and a proper hot mess yum!!

·         Alicia, I love her she really grew on me in this book.

·         Tegan, she’s a force of nature I can’t wait for her book.

And the not so good bits...

·         This book was a bit of a tease but I wanted it to follow through.

I was given a copy of Unrequited by the publisher for review and the moment I finished it I emailed and begged for a copy of Uninhibited, I needed to see what happened...

I wasn’t disappointed, this is a sexy little tease of a book and I really enjoyed it.

Dex was surprising in this book, he was deeper and grittier than I had previously given him credit for and I loved him. For me he needed to ramp up the alpha side to be my perfect guy but hell I still thought he was seriously swoon worthy!!

I loved that this book was more than just a sex fest (don’t get me wrong I like them too lol) I enjoyed how Melody Grace allowed us to gradually get to know the characters and then watch them grow and change because of each other.

I really engaged with both Dex & Alicia and I love them as a couple, they have some serious chemistry but they also gave off a sense of peace when they were together.

The sex was HOT!!! Christ the scene from Austin’s gig was proper squirm worthy and I love the fact that Dex had a proper dirty mouth lol!!

I found myself really engaging with Alicia, now I liked her in Unrequited but I loved how her character grew and changed because of Dex. She really started to embrace her sex kitten side and the ‘Grease’ style rocker makeover scene was genius.

I have a couple of issues with this book the first being that it was a tease, it hinted at the authors dirty mind but never quite followed through on getting a bit down and dirtier. Dex teases Alicia about bondage and tying her up and hell I really wanted to read that scene but it never happened GUTTED L.

I also needed an epilogue, I love knowing that characters get their forever happy ending and I want to know what happens to Dex & Alicia.

Tegan, Dex’s sister is introduced in this book and she’s like a whirlwind I can’t wait till her book Unstoppable comes out it’s defiantly on my TBR list.

Now I think it’s pretty obvious that I enjoyed this book, the fact that I have said Love about 30 times in this review might have given it away lol.

This is the perfect beach read as long as you don’t mind people starring when the sexy bits make you blush lol. 4 Stars!!

Unbeautifully is book #2 in the Undeniable Series and having read Undeniable and loved it I was really excited to get started on the rest of the series.

Ok so the good bits...

·         Ripper, god scarred a real tortured soul but its works for him hot as hell!!!

·         I’m so glad that we got some more of Deuce & Eva’s story too.

·         Cage I can’t wait to read his and Tegen’s book.

And the not so good bits...

·         Ripper & Danny’s story didn’t draw me in as much as Deuce & Eva’s

I enjoyed Unbeautifully it’s an unconventional love story but what I found difficult is that it just wasn’t as good as Undeniable.

I love the connection between Ripper and Danny but there just wasn’t enough of it for me.

I would have loved for them to interact abit more, and even Danny says that they only had one solid week together.

I felt the chemistry between them and I wanted them to be together but I don’t feel like I got absorbed into their world.

For me the most engaging part of this book was the parts that were in Eva & Deuces POV, everything about them is so tragic, they have fought every kind of adversity to be together and I was literally fingers crossed hoping for them to finally find some happiness.

Unlike Undeniable this book felt like a bit of an ensemble cast and we got glimpses into all of the different characters lives.

I can’t wait for Cage & Tegens book now there is some serious chemistry there’s a fine line between love and hate, I get the feeling their story is going to be explosive.

Overall I liked Unbeautifully but I didn’t love it so it’s a solid 3.5 stars from me.

The good Bits...

·         Dex, phew a sexy, alpha rock star what’s not to like!!

·         Alicia, she incredibly innocent and sweet.

The not so good bits...

·         I hate Novellas!!! As soon as they start to get good they end!!!

This book is definitely short but sweet it’s the perfect intro into the next book in the series Uninhibited.

I love Dex he’s a tortured soul and this book only hints at what’s happened to make him so jaded and isolated.

Christ Dex & Alicia have some serious chemistry the sexual sparks were bouncing around them, and to be fair the almost sex scene was well written and had massive potential to be seriously squirm worthy.

I love alpha men and I could feel that he was edging towards being a bit dominant in bed and hell that works for me.

I have read the first two books in the Beachwood Bay Series but I will be honest I don’t recall Alicia and I’m kinda glad that I don’t have any preconceptions about her. I felt bad for her we have all fallen for someone who just doesn’t feel the same way.

And as the saying goes the best way to get over someone is get under someone else lol!

I feel like Dex and Alicia have a lot of steamy, sexy potential and I will defiantly be reading the next book in the series.

The Dirty Series is a five part Novella Series written by Cheryl McIntyre, as I’ve read them all one after the other I’m going to review them as a whole rather than each instalment on its own.

Ok so Christ this series was not at all what I was expecting!!!

The good bits...

·         I love how unexpectedly edgy this series was!!

·         Holy Linken!! Christ talk about dark I kinda love this anti hero.

·         I love Rocky something about her really drew me in.

And the not so good bits...

·         This book made me a little uncomfortable; it definitely skirts the line between ok and really, really not ok.

Christ this book took me by surprise and I will be honest after the first instalment I did think god do I really want to carry on reading this?

I’m so glad I did because even though this book is incredibly dark and unsettling it was also kind of hopeful.

I struggled with Link, on one hand he is the survivor of a horrifying attack and he teaches women to defend themselves to try and ensure that what happened to his girlfriend never happens to anyone else. But he is also a man that is single mindedly searching for vengeance and is happy to exact that justice by taking the life of the four men who raped and killed Olivia.

And here is right where this series becomes uncomfortable!

We are taught that murder is wrong, now whether you are religious or not I think everyone has heard the commandment that states Thou Shalt Not Kill (or something along those lines). This is ground into us from a young age that to hurt someone is bad to kill someone is the ultimate sin.

But Link kills one of these men and he helps another to kill himself and to me his actions feel justified!!!

This series deals with an incredibly difficult subject matter; Link is stabbed 18 times his girlfriend is gang raped and then stabbed to death and her body is doused in bleach to prevent the police finding any evidence. God even typing it makes me cringe, this is defiantly not a happy, smiley romance, this book is uncomfortable, it makes you feel uncomfortable but for some reason that’s also what’s brilliant about it!

Links actions made me feel bad but I was also cheering him on, I agreed with him they should have to suffer, they should have to pay for their actions!!

I love Rocky the poor girl is an absolute mess but she is dealing with her life after she was raped as best she can. Rocky did everything that you are supposed to do to play by the rules she went to the police and reported her attacker and unfortunately justice was not served for her.

What she went through almost makes Links actions more acceptable, Rocky went to the police, her rapist was arrested but then he was found not guilty.  I will be honest I kind of wanted Rocky to get some vengeance on Garrett too! This series made me feel like a bit of a monster, I wasn’t upset that these people wanted to take justice into their own hands, I supported them, I relished in them getting control of their lives again and I think that might make me a terrible person, but if you read this book I’m willing to bet you feel the same way too!!

I felt like the connection that Rocky & Link feel is borderline unhealthy but they are a small amount of light in an otherwise dark, horrible world. I felt a sense of relief that they found each other, two broken souls who can help mend each other.

I was completely sucked into this series and these characters; I felt abit robbed at the end because I need the reassurance that they are going to be ok.

It’s rare that I engage so much with literary characters that I actually feel empathy and sadness for them but Link & Rocky are the absolute exception to the rule. If you manage to read this series and not feel something for these characters you are a hard, hard person.

I loved this series but I hated it as well it has seriously made me question my moral compass but it’s also made two characters that have edged their way into my soul. I think its beautifully, disturbingly brilliant!!

Ok so the good bits...

·         Noah he’s a cocky bastard but he’s definitely got something about him!!

·         I’ve missed the Mitchell/Healey clan so it was fab to jump back into the family.

And the not so good bits...

·         This book doesn’t have the intensity of the previous Mitchell Series books.

Now I’m finding it difficult to rate this book on its own merit purely and simply because I’m comparing it to the previous books in the Mitchell Series.

I love grown up Noah, he’s a cocky arrogant bastard but I kind of love that about him, I can definitely see elements of Colt in him but overall he grew up well.

I’m not entirely sure how old he is supposed to be in this book, but in some ways he seems completely immature.

I’m not convinced on Shalan, I’ve found myself liking her one minute and then being completely annoyed by her the next.

I loved the family feel of the Mitchell series so I’m so glad that this book has the same vibe and it was great to see glimpses of Van & Colt and the other family members.

I enjoyed this book but I was disappointed that it didn’t have the grit and edge that I’m used to in a Jennifer Foor novel.

This book started well and I loved that Noah got a back bone and told his dad he wasn’t happy, I loved the idea of him meeting Shalan and then him saving her from a horrible situation.

My issues came when Noah just totally backed down and went back home to a lifestyle he doesn’t enjoy. Where was the grit and intensity, unfortunately there wasn’t any.

He didn’t fight for Shalan and she was just prepared to walk away to!!! It was so disappointing.

This book started off so well I mean hell Noah has a dirty little mouth and I loved that he’s is sexually confident and was happy to tell Shalan that he was going to rock her world!! The sex is sexy and in the start of the book Noah & Shelan have some serious chemistry.

For me it all went downhill once he left New York and by the time she visited the range the edgy bad boy had gone and in his place was a pussy whipped ball of mush who just let Shalan walk away!!!

Please don’t get me wrong I still enjoyed this book I just had such high hopes and unfortunately this just didn’t quite meet up to the standard of his parents books L
