My Review

4.5 Beautiful Gut Wrenching Stars

Control is book #1 in the Shamed series and the first book I have read by this author. I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review so here goes...

I have to say this book completely sucked me in, it was a hard read and in places was just downright uncomfortable but for some reason it really struck a chord with me.

Ella/Julie is just heartbreaking the cloud of fear and sadness that surrounds her was so harrowing I instantly engaged with her and I felt that connection that made me want for everything to be ok.

Ella describes herself as ‘Dead’ every time she said it I welled up, the desolation and isolation was just heartbreaking.

To be completely honest for the majority of the book I really disliked Liam, I thought he was a jumped up asshole with an ‘I am God’ complex. But then there were moments of sweet, beautiful actions that completely endeared him to me.

God I wanted to slap Liam when he literally threw money at Ella, I mean he’s lucky he didn’t get punched in the face.

Willow was an absolute nightmare!!!

Christ Laura Marie Alstom I was on the edge of my seat waiting for Blaine to turn up, psychos like that don’t just disappear into the background!!!

I loved the sexual chemistry that fizzled between Liam & Ella, and I honestly want them to have a happy ending together.

This book is sad there’s no getting away from it, this is not a happy clappy lovefest but its poignant and thought provoking and heart wrenching.

I really enjoyed this book and I’m now desperate to read the next book.

I kind of fell in love with this book 4.5 stars.

My Review

Conspire is a new standalone novel by two brilliant authors, I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review so here goes.

I’ve read a lot of books by these two authors so I was super excited for this collaboration.

My first reaction to this book is that it really wasn’t what I was expecting!!!

I liked Graham/Bryce but I don’t feel like I got to know him very well, but he was sexy as hell when he got all alpha.

I loved Jocelyn she went from doormat to badass in a matter of pages and her attitude was hilarious.

Jocelyn’s swings from innocent wide eyed girl to hellcat, sex kitten were brilliant!!!!

This book was full of unexpected suspense and intrigue but in places I found it slightly confusing.

If Devon & Graham were so close why would he not tell Graham that he was concerned about a drug trial???

Because I’m a fan of both of these authors I felt like I could tell who wrote which element and I liked that they managed to mesh their styles together.

I was kind of hoping for a bit of a more explosive conclusion and although justice was served I felt it was a bit lacklustre.

But what it lacked in ending it gained points for hot sex lol, I love me an alpha man and that is definitely what Graham was he ordered Jocelyn about and she loved it lol.

I hated Hunter with an absolute passion, what an absolute arsehole he needed a better comeuppance!!!

Overall I enjoyed this book it was sexy and full of intrigue 3.5 stars.

Always Forever is book #4 in the Sometimes Never series, I love this series so I was super excited to read this book. 

Kellin & Misty are mentioned in the previous book but they were children and to be honest I didn’t really take any notice of them.

Well hell I’m noticing them now!!!

First love that lasts a lifetime that flipping adorable!!

Misty & Kellin together are just so flaming cute, I actually struggle to treat them as individual characters simply because them being together as far as I’m concerned was inevitable.

I kinda instantly hated Luke and I really didn’t know anything about him, who suggests their girlfriends go and sleep around!!!!!

I have to say Roh & Sadie whew that’s some sexual tension right there please Cheryl McIntyre tell me that their book is next!!!

This book is so cute but then you throw in some sexual tension and a lot of saucy banter and you’ve got me alternating between going arrrr and then being a bit hot under the collar.

This book doesn’t have the gritty edge that the previous book have had and I will be honest I missed it, but this is a completely different type of story to the rest of them too.

Always Forever is a completely different type of love story its young love and it’s sweet and innocent. I got completely dragged into their story and I rooted for them I loved this 4 stars.
