The Diamond Ring by Primula Bond
Three Best of the Trilogy Stars |
Blurb - Sex. Love. Betrayal. And a very dramatic climax… The
Unbreakable Trilogy reached its unforgettable conclusion. A must-read for fans
of erotic romance.
“You don’t know how beautiful you are, Serena. That’s the danger.”
Engaged to be married, life should be blissful for Gustav and
Serena. It should be a time of happiness; a time to plan their wedding and
their future together.
But the ghosts of Gustav’s past have returned to haunt him, and one
in particular casts a dangerous shadow over their relationship.
Margot, Gustav’s bitter and twisted ex-wife, is determined to
destroy everything that Gustav holds dear. Starting with Serena…
From the glamour of Paris to the exotic wilds of Morocco, The
Diamond Ring will take you on a sensual, sexy journey like no other – with a
finale you won’t forget.
The Diamond Ring is the third and final book
in the Unbreakable Trilogy; I was given a review copy by the publisher in
exchange for an honest review so here goes...
The Diamond Ring is by far the best of the books in
the trilogy however it is still a very weird series of books.
This book starts very much like the previous two
books with Serena & Gustav travelling the world, working and having copious
amounts of sex.
This book gets back to Serena’s voyeuristic roots
and I found this much more titivating that the blatant in your face what’s what
of kinky sex.
Now here’s where this book gets good....
Psycho Margot is BRILLIANT!!! The woman is literally mad as a box of frogs
and I loved her.
I loved the drama and intrigue that Margot caused
and all of the subsequent chaos that she created added another level to this
book.
This book definitely feels like the Serena show because
we rarely see or hear from Gustav and to be honest I felt like I lost the
connection to them and their relationship.
I don’t feel like there was any real resolution in
this book, its builds and builds and then kind of fizzles out.
Margot is eventually caught but not in a dramatic crescendo,
they stumble upon her in a hospital.
This book had massive potential but for me it just didn’t
meet my hopeful expectations.
I have to say I found the Riad scenes very
confusing, was it a brothel or what??? Why were the girls all wearing the ankle
bracelets?
And also where the hell was Tomas was he arrested
and if not why the hell not!!!
Sorry but again this book just didn’t work for me I
found myself having to force myself to pick it up and read it and then fight
harder to not skip pages in the boring
bits!!! I gave it 3 stars it was better than book 2 but unfortunately it just didn’t
do it for me.
