- He’s someone she can’t trust…
She’s someone he thinks he knows…
Violet Wilson is a wallflower. Shy, serious, and accident-prone, she’s got a bad habit of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. The night she’s forced to pose with her friend might just be the worst time of all—that’s when she meets Jet Blevins. She knows better than to get involved with someone like him, but he touches her in ways she never expected, never wanted before.
On the outside, Jet is a typical rocker, an arrogant lead guitarist who unapologetically lives a wild lifestyle. But on the inside, he’s battling demons and using the stage to escape the troubles of his past and the addictions of his present. Until the night he sees Violet standing at the back of the room. She brings his life into focus. She knows his secrets. She’s the girl he can’t forget, and the one thing he craves more than his addiction.
But can they ever hope to have a future when their very foundation is nothing but lies?

Theres wild, then theres you is book #3 in the Wild
Ones Series, I’ve read all of the other books in the series and they are great
summer reads. Here’s my review of book #2 Some Like
It Wild.
Ok so what to say about book #3 well it has a slightly
darker edge to it than the previous books.
Jet is an edgier more angsty character that has a somewhat
addictive personality. He’s also a hot rocker singer so I think we will forgive
him most of his sins.
I have to be honest and say that Violet is not one
of my favourite M . Leighton characters I think if possible she’s a bit too
straight laced.
In fact that is an issue for this book on a whole it’s
not particularly wild!!!
Don’t get me wrong Jets behaviour is somewhat
outlandish but really it’s not that outrageous that you would call it wild!!
I think the idea of Jet & Violet meeting at a
sex addicts meeting is genius and bloody funny!!
I don’t think a blind drunk could mistake someone who
is wound as tightly as Violet for a sex addict lol!!!
For me this book focuses on the lies that Violet
& Jet are telling each other but my issue is that neither of the lies is
that big and insurmountable. I feel like the author bigs up the lies so that
they exacerbate into this massive issue.
Really when you think about it Violet has lied to
Jet by saying that she is a sex addict when really she’s not she is just supporting
her friend... would you dump the love of your life over this silly white lie???
No of course you wouldn’t!!!
Jet doesn’t tell Violet that he isn’t a sex addict
either he is simply trying to win a juvenile bet with his band mates that he can’t
pick up a sex addict at a sex addicts anonymous meeting. I will grant that
Violet has cause for being annoyed with Jet but again is this lie to end all
lies???
Jets unforgivable truth is hinted at for ages and I
was expecting a child somewhere or that he was a drug addict or you know
pending murder charges something really big.
But wah wah waaaaa he’s an idiot and she started out
as a bet for me it was seriously anticlimactic after its impressive build up!!!
This book is a cute summer beach read and if you can
overlook how melodramatic it is, you will really enjoy it 3.5 stars from me!!
