***Blog Tour***Loving
You is Easy by Wendy S. Marcus
Out Now!!!
She’s a survivor of the
front lines of politics. He’s a wounded soldier returning home from the
battlefield. Can they place their trust in the power of love?
Nobody plays the role of
perfect politician’s daughter better than quiet, respectable math teacher
Brooke Ellstein. But she won’t be caught swimming with the sharks again, not
after the son of a wealthy donor sinks his teeth into her and gets away with it.
Still, political connections have their perks, such as heading up the
governor’s “Support Our Troops” pen-pal initiative—and getting first dibs on
the smoking-hot sergeant whose picture shakes her right down to her
goody-two-shoes.
When corresponding with
sweet, classy Brooke, Shane Develen instinctively hides his commando tattoos
and blue-collar roots—and he can tell that she’s hiding something, too. But
Shane knows he’s gained her trust when Brooke gives him a blisteringly sexy photo.
Then he’s injured in an ambush and a fellow soldier posts the snapshot online.
Overnight, Brooke’s reputation turns to ashes. Even though he’s totally wrong
for her, Shane shows up on Brooke’s doorstep, determined to set things
right—and discovers that right or wrong has nothing on the chemistry they
share.

My Review
4 Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover Stars |
Loving you is easy is the first book I have read by this
author. I'm lucky enough to have been gifted a copy of this book in exchange
for an honest review so here goes...
Here
in the UK we are proud of our troops and the job they do but not to the extent
that US does. Perhaps us Brits are just quieter about it, I'm not sure.
I love
how Americans celebrate their servicemen and women and I thought the idea of
having soldiers as pen pals is such a heart warming idea.
At the
start of the book I wasn't a massive fan of either character to be honest. Yes
they may have had a connection via the letters they have exchanged, but right
off the bat Shane told Brooke that he wasn't up for a long distance girlfriend.
Brooke
comes off as a bit of a psycho, sorry, but if the bloke says he's not
interested in a girlfriend and he keeps saying it TAKE THE HINT!!!!!
And
Shane what a douche!!!! I don't want you to be my girlfriend but send me naked
photos! I don't want you to be my girlfriend but I want to have lots of sex
with me!!! I don't want you to be my girlfriend but give me a blowjob!!!!
Seriously!!!! And then maybe next time I'm on leave we can think about that
girlfriend thing again!!! Yep DOUCHE!!!!
My
opinion on both of them did change and I did grow to like both of them by the
end of the book!!!
Brooke
is not at all how she's appears upon first impression, she's strong and
determined and amazingly normal considering her family.
OMG her
mother!!!!
I kind
of love Shane's grumpiness even when he's being an arse he was still sexy with
it!!
Shane's
family was lovely except from his sister who was like an extra from the Jerry
Springer show.
I
liked that this was a much deeper story than your average romance. This story
is as much about acceptance and moving forward.
I'm
hoping that the author will be writing Neve and Rory's book next because I'm
completely intrigued!!
I
enjoyed this book; I admit I cried like an idiot about Tommy.
Loving
you is Easy gets 4 stars from me
