Share The Moon by
Sharon Struth

2.5 Long Winded Stars
Blurb -  Sometimes trust is the toughest lesson to learn. Sophie Shaw is days away from signing a contract that will fulfill her dream of owning a vineyard. For her, it's a chance to restart her life and put past tragedies to rest. But Duncan Jamieson's counter offer blows hers out to sea.

Duncan still finds Sophie as appealing as he had during boyhood vacations to the lake. Older and wiser now, he has his own reasons for wanting the land. His offer, however, hinges on a zoning change approval.

Bribery rumors threaten the deal and make Sophie wary of Duncan, yet she cannot deny his appeal. When her journalistic research uncovers a Jamieson family secret, trust becomes the hardest lesson for them both.

Share The Moon is the first book I have read by this author, I was gifted a copy of this book by the publisher in exchange for an honest review so here goes....

I’m sorry to say that this book was hard work!!!

This is sort of a romance and sort of a mystery/intrigue story but for me the two aspects of the plot just didn’t gel.

I didn’t feel the connection between Duncan and Sophie, perhaps it’s because these characters are in their 40’s and this wasn’t a love at first sight or a rip each other’s clothes off kind of a story. I just struggled to visualise the attraction and there wasn’t even a hint of passion.

The ongoing story of the companies’ background, ethics and the links between Duncan’s family, the town and The Tate's land just went on and on.

I’m sorry to say that I was a bit bored reading this book, I probably would have just abandoned it had I not been given a copy to review.

I sort of guessed who Trent was and who was causing all the trouble so it was incredibly frustrating when it took many chapters of writing to get to the final reveal.

The idea of the story is interesting but it sort of meandered in circles and the story never really got to the point.

I found everything about this book just a bit longwinded and I’m sorry to say that I just didn’t enjoy this story.

This book gets 2.5 stars from me.

Releasing Early 2015

Synopsis:

This isn’t just a two-year long one-night stand. It’s my life. This is my life. Our life. It isn’t just some careless affair. I’ve made the worst decisions a woman could, but I’ll earn my second chance. She can try keeping all the guilt for herself, but I’m just as much to blame. Loving Casey wasn’t my biggest mistake. Fighting it for so long was. I’ll show her how fearless our love makes me. I’ll protect her torn heart. He still has magic in his eyes. He’s the man who makes me happy. Her voice still brings me to my knees. She says my name like it’s sacred. I live for the day when I’m his. To take care of him. To love him the way he deserves. I can’t wait to be all she needs. I can give her a happy life, security and so much love. Sometimes two ships never meet in the night, but ours did. Sometimes the water is rough. It beats you all to hell until you have no choice but get stronger. Our love story reads more like a tragedy, but to me it’s clean and pure. Let them point their fingers. Without a love like ours, they haven’t really lived. I pity them. I’m a cheating wife and a villain. I am his honeybee. I’m a snake in the grass and I sleep best when I’m lying next to his wife. I want to be his everything. I’m nothing without her anyway. This isn’t even close to over. It’ll never be over.

My Review
3.5 Maybe Too Much Sex Stars

Devoted to Him is book #2 in the Davison & Allegra Series, here’s a link to my review for book #1 Breathless for Him. I was gifted a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review so here goes.

There is a lot of sex in this book, like a LOT of sex. Now that’s not a problem normally, but I kind of felt like every other scene was them getting it on!!

This book feels quite sophisticated with all of the opera references and every environment is opulent and decadent. This story is definitely escapism at its best, literally how the other half live lol.

Is it weird that I love that Davidson goes all possessive and jealous??? For me the whole “You Are Mine” thing is a massive turn on.

Allegra feels so much more mature in this book, I liked the strength and at times Bitch factor that she has in this instalment.

I was really hoping that Ashton would try to get Davison back in this book, but apart from a few snide comments she was a serious disappointment.

I’m going to try to not have any spoilers so bare with me lol. Davison’s secrets had massive potential and I expected a big explosion of drama. Now don’t get me wrong there was drama it just wasn’t as dramatic as I had hoped lol.

Allegra and Davison are still an adorable couple and they are the epitome of loved up in this book. But I’m astounded that Allegra doesn’t kick his ass for keeping all of those secrets to himself for so long!!! And then he gets on at her for seeing harmless little Mateo.

I’m assuming that there won’t be any more books in this series as this was defiantly a happy Ever After but normally the type of organisation that created the drama don’t just give up and walk away!!

Never the less this book is super sweet and jam packed with sexy time.

Devoted to Him gets 3.5 stars from me.

My Review
3 It All Happens Too Early On Stars
Beyond is a standalone novel by Chantal Fernando, I’m a massive fan of her books and have read several. I was super excited to receive a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Beyond has a sort of post apocalyptic vibe going on, I’m going to be honest and say that from the blurb I had no idea that the genre was going to be a fantasy/paranormal thing.

I do enjoy fantasy novels it’s just been a while since I read one, so I was bit like ohhhhh this is new!!!!

It took me a while to gauge what era this story was set in as at times it felt almost medieval.

Olivia is not at all how she first appears and in a Zena warrior Princess spin she is beautiful and also capable of killing zombies and kicking ass!!! I loved her snarky attitude and her banter with all of the other men.

Dane, Dane, Dane it doesn’t matter what genre he is in he’s totally swoon worthy!!!! Dane is your atypical ‘Alpha Male’ and god that’s the sexiest thing in the world!!!! In this story he’s a soldier and a bit of a post apocalyptic player lol.

I have a few issues with this book though... it’s only a short book so I assumed it would be the start to a series. Great I love novel series but then it finishes and there’s an epilogue in the distant future that ends it and this becomes a standalone.

I’m just not sure about this book, Dane doesn’t want to marry Olivia until ten pages after he protests and then he’s as happy as a clam and super possessive ‘you are mine’ ‘nobody touches what’s mine’. But then if they are all happy and loved up the rest of the story just sort of felt like filler.

That being said I did still enjoy it and the sex is smoking hot lol. I’m just a bit disappointed, I’m a romance first, action second kind of a girl and although Olivia kicking ass and going on a mission is cool and totally girl power. I was hoping for more about their relationship.

Beyond gets 3 stars from me.

Unsound an anthology
by Chantal Fernando and M.N. Forgy

Time and Time Again by Chantal Fernando

Blurb - I always thought I had luck on my side.

Things seemed to go in my favour, whether by will or by nature.

But that luck just ran out.

Jobless and on the verge of being homeless, I find a strength in me that I didn’t even know existed and discover an unlikely savior --- Tag.

He avoids commitment like the plague, and starting anything with him will only lead to heartbreak.

I know this.

He knows this.

So why am I still here?

Oh, right. Because I want him more than I want my next breath.

My Review
4 Adorable Stars

Time and Time again is a spin off novella from the Maybe Series, I’ve read the other two books in the series Maybe This Time and This Time Around and LOVED them.

This novella is Tag’s story its super quick but I always wondered when Tag the sex god bartender would get brought to his knees.

I always knew that Tag was a real sweetie but he’s absolutely adorable in this story, he’s the perpetual bad boy player going from girl to girl and I wasn’t sure if he would ever settle down.

Clara is incredible sweet too, she comes across really young and innocent but I liked the backbone she has hidden under all of that niceness lol.

I think this totally could have worked as a full length novel, I would have read it!!!

This story is super short, super sweet and left me gagging for the next book in the series to come out.
Time and Time again gets 4 stars from me.

The Broken Pieces of Us by M.N. Forgy

Blurb - Babs is no stranger to the MC world. As an ol’ lady, she takes the hell that comes with it and dishes it out times two. But the past has a way of sneaking up and tearing life apart. Finding herself trapped as Locks’ ol’ lady, with the threat she will be his till the grave, her world spirals out of control. The only person risking it all to save her is the last person she thought would care: Bull.

President of the Devil’s Dust MC, Bull, is good at running women off and is even better at pissing off his brothers. When he sees the way his vice-president is treating his ol’ lady, he tries to keep his thoughts to himself. The one thing Bull insists on in his club is respect and loyalty: respect for the patch, respect for your brother, and loyalty to the club. However, after finding Babs in a harsh predicament after a run in with Locks, he can’t help but step in.
Crossing lines and hurdling around life’s unpredictability, will they find refuge in each other or will they have to endure what life gives them?

My Review
4 Soooo Sad Stars

The broken Pieces of Us is a spin off novella from the Devils Dust Series; I love the two books in this series What Doesn’t Destroy Us & The Scars That Define Us. But I have to admit that because I knew what happens to Bull and Babs I was slightly reluctant to read their story.

God this book made me sad!!! Poor Bull and Babs I love that they found each other.

When I read The Scars That Define Us I cried like an idiot and this novella had me welling up as well!!

This is an unconventional love story in a violent and hateful world. I hate that things ended the way they did but I’m also glad that they had each other.

This novella is a great companion to the series as it gives both Bull and Bab’s POV for the whole series so far.

Babs and Bull feel like the mom and dad of the group and all the Biker Boys and Dani and the girls are their kids lol.

Scarlet is only really mentioned in passing so it interesting that Bull reacts the way he does to her. I wonder if she will make an appearance in the next book in the series.

Overall this is a bittersweet story that I liked but that just really made me sad

The Broken Pieces of us gets 4 stars from me.

My Review
4.5 Always Nathan & Charlotte Stars
The Charlotte Chronicles is book #1 in the Jackson Boys Series and the first book I have read by this author. I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review so here goes.

God this book!!!

I laughed and I cried!!!

This book starts out heartbreakingly sweet; Charlotte, Nick and Nate are teenagers. I love that even at 17 Nate was claiming Charlotte as his.

I loved 17yr old Nate he's a child pretending to be a man but he's so endearingly cute. It's obvious that he loves Charlotte but they are just so young I mean she's only 15!!!

God the letters!!! For so many years!!! Nate is an idiot!!!

To be honest I hated Nate after that, I honestly was just devastated for her, I just don't understand how he could do that. I mean they were Nate and Charlotte!!!!

This book completely suckered me in I read it cover to cover without putting it down (yes it even came to the bathroom too lol) I really wasn't sure how this book would play out!!

I'm having to be a bit vague because I don't want to give away a spoilers but Christ 9 years!!!!!

I LOVED the intensity in Nate in part two.  It’s like he came out of a haze of stupidity with a single minded purpose and he had no doubt that he would succeed or die trying!!! Let's be honest that's incredibly sexy!!!

Personally I can't believe how easily she let him off, she never even slapped him and if anyone ever deserved a slap it was him!!!!

Bloody hell though the sex!!!! Talk about sparks flying!!!

This book takes you through the full roller coaster of emotions I was happy and laughing and then angry. For a minute I was slightly outraged but also mortified and sad, hell this book even made me cry!!!

At the end of the day they were always Nathan & Charlotte!!!

I'm hoping Nick gets his own book cause that's going straight on my TBR list!!

The Charlotte Chronicles gets 4.5 stars from me.

EXCERPT

But when I close my eyes, I can see him—and me. I can see me pressed up against the mirror in the bathroom, my hands making starfish prints as I brace myself against his thrusts. I can hear his harsh breathing, his commands to come, come now, Charlotte. There was that passage of time that felt endless when he was between my legs, licking me softly and leisurely as if there wasn’t anything in this world that gave him more pleasure than helping me find my own. I touch myself, but it’s useless. My body wants one thing: Nathan Jackson.
I’m on fire and the ache of want is so acute it’s like a knife in my chest. I’ve had multiple surgeries, chemo treatments, radiation but that’s nothing compared to what I feel now.
Time and distance had dulled my pain and that my desire and love for Nathan had actually started to ease only to be stoked into high, hot flames by his reappearance in my life.
He is the poison and the antidote.
