The Duality Principle by
Rebecca Grace Allen
Out Now!!!

Synopsis:
Sometimes A + B = O. Yes. Oh, yes. Just like that.
Gabriella Evans’s life exists in terms of logic and definitions. She’s holed up in Portland, Maine, for the summer to work on her PhD thesis, but something is screwing up her concentration: the rumble of a motorcycle every time the embodiment of her rough-and-tumble fantasies rides down her street.

When her best friend talks her into a blind date, she finds herself out with the opposite of her fantasy. He’s polite and well-mannered, yet something behind his crisply tailored shirt doesn’t add up—a rebellious gleam in his eye that piques her curiosity.

Orphaned at fifteen, Connor Starks has finally put the years of failing grades, breaking laws and breaking hearts behind him. The only holdover? His penchant for getting down and dirty in public places. But Gabriella makes him want to prove he’s become a better man.

Nothing intrigues Gabriella more than a problem she can’t solve. But the more Connor tries to bury his past, the more determined she is to uncover it. And what she finds makes all her trusty logic begin to fail her…

Warning: This book contains a summer romance, dirty talk, dockside kissing, motorcycles and tattoos. Features a rebellious nerdy girl with an appetite for outdoor sex and light spanking, and a bad boy who’s turned good…or at least he’s trying.

My Review
4 Geek Sex is Cool Stars

The Duality Principle is the first book I have read by this author, I’ve been lucky enough to be gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review so here goes....

I wasn’t sure how this book would be, the blurb sounds great but that doesn’t necessarily lead to a great book.

On this occasion the blurb is exactly like the book!!!

The Duality Principle is a light hearted, kinky little nugget of funny romance... I loved it!!!

Gabby is a geek with a wild side, something about her really resonated with me. Her frustration with rubbish sex and men that haven’t got a clue was hilarious and I loved the dirty little inner monologue she had going on.

Every women has fantasised about the filthy things we want our man to do to us, we may not all get to live out those fantasies but I love that Gabby wants to embrace her wild side and not feel like a freak for enjoying the more taboo side of sex. I mean who doesn’t like to be spanked in the heat of passion (wink wink)

Connor was a great character he’s a bad boy who’s trying to be good lol which is just daft because there’s nothing sexier than a bad boy!!

The sex in this book is smoking hot especially once they both embrace their bad sides.

My only critisim is that this book ended a bit abruptly, I love a good HEA epilogue and that was missed here.

I really enjoyed this book Gabby and Connor were the yin to each other yang and this book left me with a great big cheesy grin, and an urge for some alfresco sex lol.

This is a great easy read perfect for the beach or just a good night in with a glass of wine 4 stars!

My Review
3.5 Need to Read The Rest Of the Series Stars

Unexpected Love is part of the Love Series, it’s the first book I have read by Casey Clipper and I was lucky enough to have been gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review so here goes...

This book is a standalone and although it’s not essentially I think I would have enjoyed it more if I had read the previous books in the series. The other couples that are seen in this book definitely have back stories and I felt a bit out of the loop for not understanding their histories.

I like Ryan he’s a complex character as I this book we see two completely different sides of him. I actually really loved player Ryan and I don’t feel like we go to see enough of light-hearted Ryan before his life changed dramatically.

Lynn is a really sweet girl she seemed much younger than the age she’s supposed to be but I loved that she was both innocent and yet could throw a punch.

Seriously who the hell is Derrick??? And what happened between Sean and Courtney???

The story was two extremes either slightly slow or breakneck quick, I enjoyed the drama but I would have loved to see more of Ryan and Lynn’s romance. I feel like he needed to try a bit harder than just jumping her.

What happened to Robert???

I enjoyed this book but I think I would have loved it if I was privy to more info about the other characters. Yes this book was about Ryan and Lynn but Sean, Beth, Derrick and Courtney featured heavily and not having any idea what happened between these couple left me feeling a bit disconnected.

This is entirely my fault for starting a series midway through but unfortunately it did affect my enjoyment of this book so it gets 3.5 stars from me.

Excerpt

Seven in the morning and Ryan lumbered through the front door of the house. He was beat-up and exhausted. In that been-f%%ked-all-too-good kind of way. He tossed his keys on the entryway table and went straight to the kitchen. A fresh pot of coffee was half gone, which meant his brother was up, ready for his workday. Ryan decided to skip the morning brew so he could get some rest. He started up the stairs when Beth appeared at the top, hands on her hips, and a deep frown on her features.
"Where have you been?"
He stopped, stunned. Talk about out of character. His sister-in-law was anything but confrontational. "Ummm....out."
"Yeah, we know," she said. "You should have been home last night. Sean called the hospital to talk to you but they said you were sent home." She started to wobble down the steps. Her tiny body looked disproportionately pregnant with twins. The poor girl had gotten to the point in the pregnancy where it started to become painful. "Where have you been?"
"You're not my mother, Beth," he said, trying unsuccessfully to hold back his bite. "I don't need another one of those. Got one. Don't answer to her and not about to start answering to you."
She gasped, her eyes grew wide and flashed with hurt.
"You do answer to me," his brother growled from behind him. "And if my wife asks you a f#%king question, you better f%^king answer it, Ryan. Where the hell were you last night?"
Ryan whipped around. "I went out to relax."
Sean cocked a brow. "All night?"
He snorted. "I was busy."
His brother braced his hands on either side of the stairwell walls, as if trying to keep himself from coming after him.

3.5 Lots of Potential Stars

Private Performance is book #1 in the Sleight of Hand series, this is the first book I have read by this author and I was gifted both book #1 & #2 in exchange for honest reviews so here goes....

This is a novella length story so a super quick read and only a quick insight into the characters.

I’m going to be honest and say I didn’t really warm to Ellaine, she just seems like a bit of a miserable cow. I’m hoping that her character with grow on me as I did enjoy the premise for the story.

Now Xander is a completely different kettle of fish, I instantly thought he was adorable, he’s a hunk of a man who is a magician (weirdly this is totally hot) and he’s also a bit tortured. I really liked him and now I need to know what happened to make him quit magic!!

There is one seriously intense sex scene in this novella, in places it’s a little awkward but still very hot!!!

I feel like this series has loads of potential, I liked the connection between Ellaine and Xander, my only concern being that I just feel he’s a bit too cool for Ellaine who seems like a bit of a geek!!

Never the less I’m looking forward to the next instalment in this series 3.5 stars.

Repeat Performance B2 Cover

Before the new couple knows it, someone's trying to break into Xander's mansion to steal the secrets of his many famous illusions. Ellaine's ex becomes their prime suspect. But maybe it's actually the up-and-coming street magician they've befriended. Or maybe it's even someone from Xander's mysterious past. 3.5 Would Have Been Better As A Novel Stars

Repeat performance is book #2 in the sleight of hand series.

This is again a novella length story and it's an example of why I'm not a massive fan of short stories.

This book starts with a bang I LOVE Xander and his sexy factor doubled by the fact that he introduces a bit of kink into the mix!!!

I really liked Shay and his white boy gangster patter lol!

The first half of this novella is brilliant and I really got back into the story. Unfortunately the second half was just information overload and I'm gutted that what were brilliant plot ideas were rushed to make them fit into the word count.

Don't get me wrong I still enjoyed the story and even Ellaine grew on me a bit. I just really wish this had been a full length novel!!

I would have loved to explore the Reynolds aspect more and even just seen a bit more of a romance with Xander and Elaine.

This just ended far too soon 3.5 stars

5 Bloody Brilliant Stars!!!!

In the beginning is book #1 in the Volkov Bratva Series. This is the first book I have read by London Miller and I have been lucky enough to have been gifted the full series in exchange for honest reviews so here goes.....

I just finished this book.

It got me!

Hook, line and sinker!!

It totally got me I couldn’t put it down and I’m typing super quickly so I can get straight onto book #2.

I haven’t read a lot of mafia books, I’m a massive fan of the Eagle Elite series by Rachel Van Dyken so I hoped that this series would tickle my pickle so to speak lol.

I really never expected that from page one I would be dragged into Mischa and Laurens world, I honestly didn’t come up for air until the last page.

This story completely absorbed me, I love the plot twists and turns and the complex mafia subplots.

I love Lauren she really goes on a journey through this book, she starts out innocent and nervous and by the end she is one serious badass bitch!!!

The Russian well what the hell to say about Mischa..... Probably the best way to start would be SWOON!!!! Who knew the mob was sexy!!

Mishca makes me melt he’s sexy and smouldering hot, but then he’s also sensitive when he’s with Lauren. Christ the boy is basically a walking women’s wet dream!!!

The connection between Mishca and Lauren is hot as hell the sexual chemistry just explodes around them and they haven’t even had sex yet!!!

I honestly have no idea how this stories going to play out but bloody hell I need to find out and like now!!!

Its 10.00pm now and I’m just about to start the second book.... I’m not going to be getting much sleep tonight lol.

In the beginning was brilliant it’s easily a 5 star book for me!!

5 Ass Kicking Stars!

Until the End is book #2 in the Volkov Bratva Series.

Bloody Hell that was intense!!!

I’ve read this super quick it’s now 1am lol

This book has had me on the edge of my seat completely enthralled for 3 straight hours.

OMG London Miller this book is like you gave book #1 a redbull and a line of coke and sent it on its way lol

Yet again I was completely absorbed from the first word to the last, I couldn’t put this book down, hell I didn’t want to put it down I need to find out what happens!!!

Mishca and Lauren are finally doing the dirty and all that sexual chemistry is being put to some seriously smoking hot use!

This book really amps up the violence and intensity; we are fully immersed into the mob world. There’s Russian Mobs and Albanian Mob you name it and they’re all there!!

I’m going to be honest and say that the mercenary was not a shock to me; a couple of things were said in book #1 that hinted at it so I was just waiting for him to make an appearance.

Lauren is now a bit of a badass I love how now she just taking these terrifying things in her stride. I mean it’s daft that she’s had such a drastic personality change but I suppose needs must lol.

Is it weird that I love Luka?? If that’s even his real name!!!!! He’s as mad as a box of frogs but I really kind of do love him!!

This second book kicks ass 5 stars again from me!!

My Review

5 On The Edge Of My Seat Stars!

The Final Hour is book #3 in the Volkov Bratva Series.

I honestly cannot remember a 3 book series I’ve read where I've loved all of the books. I mean that just never happens!!!

Well it did this time book #3 just kept the momentum going from the first two books and I was happily pulled along for the ride.

There’s so much going on in this book I’m not even sure what to talk about first....

Let’s start with Lauren, talk about stand by your man well she is definitely the mafia wife in this book, I think her journey is highlighted again when we look back at her character in the first book. I love the strong women Lauren has become.

I know that we are going to see more of Klaus... I mean who was his next assignment??? What’s going on with the waitress???And who are his employers??

I have to say that I think Luka shone like the little star that he is in The Final Hour. He definitely has a complex back story and I can’t wait until his book is released next year.

This book sets a frantic pace and as a reader I felt like I held my breath as the story hurtled along at break neck speed. This story had me guessing left, right and centre literally on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next.

I’m so disappointed now this book is finished I really invested in this series and in Lauren and Mishca, I know that there is a novella set after the end of book #3 and I’m going to be buying that ASAP I was just really enjoying being in this world!!

I going to be vague so there’s no spoilers but I genuinely never guessed, I had suspicions about a few people but this person had me completely fooled!!

I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this series this book gets 5 stars from me and I’m off to author stalk to see if I can get on the blog tour for Luka’s book!!!

Also in the Series...
