Rival is book #2 in the Fall Away series, I read the first book Bully a while back in my pre Goodreads days and had no idea that it was the start of a series!!

I have been lucky enough to receive an ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review so here goes...

From what I remember of Madoc in Bully he was a bit of an arse, well I LOVE him in Rival he’s absolutely adorable!!!

I love a funny man and Madoc had me laughing out loud with his antics. He was also passionate and sweet, but with an edge of world weary and hurt.

His character immediately drew me in and I really engaged with his feelings for Fallon.

Fallon, Fallon, Fallon it took me a while to warm up to her but once I did I jumped on the bandwagon for team Fallon and I’m now a serious fan!

I like that she has faced adversity and managed to find strength and depth in her pain and sadness.

I LOVED the fact that Fallon & Madoc fight!! Normal couples fight it shows there passion and need for one another.

God when this couple argue they put everything into it, I honestly think that the fighting was some of the sexiest scenes in this book.

And hell there’s a lot of sex!!! I will be honest some of the sex scenes are a bit samey, but it doesn’t matter because every time they interact they literally spark with chemistry and love.

I’m so glad we got to see Tate and Jared again, I loved Bully and it was great to keep their story alive in Rival.

Can I just say now holy hell Jax you are my hero and I can’t wait for your book to come out!!!

I loved everything about this book and Madoc & Fallon’s love story, they have gone through so much crap to finally be together and I got completely dragged along for the ride. My favourite books are the ones you get lost in and I am missing a chunk of my day thanks to this story it gets a 4.5 stars from me!!!
