review. I was lucky enough to be given an ARC of this book in exchange for
an honest review so here goes.....
Book #1 What Doesn’t Destroy Us set the bar
high and it ended on a killer cliff-hanger. I’ll be honest I did stalk the
author ever so slightly begging for a copy of the second book lol ;).
So your asking was it worth it.... hmmmm....
HELL YES it was, this book has you on the edge of your seat from the get go.
Will he forgive her, will she forgive him, Shadow and Dani have an incredibly
complex relationship but it grabs you and draws you in.
They are well beyond the realms of healthy,
normal relationships and they are half way to obsessed and suffocating. For
some reason this totally works for them and to be honest it shouldn’t but it
does.
This book seems a lot more graphically violent than
the first book and that might not be for everyone but if you are a fan of MC
books this wont phase you at all.
I’m a fairly recent convertee to MC books and
the sexy hunks of biker man, but god Shadow just makes me a puddle of mush. He
should be an arsehole, he’s commandeering and rude, he treats Dani like she is
property. The thing is I LIKE IT!!!!!! Every feminist in the world has just
gasped in disgust but everything about him turns me on!!!!
Jesus let’s just talk about the sex for a minute....
whewwwwww its HAWT!!! As a couple
they are raw and animalistic and I’d be lying
if it didn’t admit that I was squirming in my seat. (The hubbys in for it later
lol)
I’m sorry to say that Dani’s mom kind of got her
just desserts, Karma’s a bitch baby!!!
This book has some kick ass action as well as
the dysfunctional romance and all hail Bobby in all of his badass brilliance.
Thank the lord there is a 3rd book
and I can almost guarantee I’m going to be harassing M.N Forby for a copy so
watch this space.
I loved this book, its sexy and dirty and just
brilliant 5 stars!!!
