Primal by Sasha White
Overwatch #2
3 Not As Smutty As I Expected Stars

Blurb - BDSM club owner Adam Kessler is no one’s hero. He joined the army to get away from the gang-life that had taken his brother, only to come home to heartache. He doesn’t hide his dominant side, and he doesn’t hesitate in his need to protect or enforce his particular brand of retribution on those who’ve earned it. There’s no way in hell he could walk past a man hassling a woman in an empty parking lot and do nothing. Only when the confrontation is over and the voluptuous blonde turns eyes filled with desire to him, does Adam realize he’s in trouble.

Psychologist Olivia Lang grew up with the proverbial silver spoon, and has never regretted spending more time on her career than on romance, until she meets Adam Kessler. He’s dark, he’s dangerous, and he’s deliciously dominant… and she wants him.

Passion burns quick and hot between them and soon they’re caught up in an intensely carnal relationship that neither can deny. But when Olivia’s life is threatened and Adam shows her just how dangerous he can be, will it be too much for the civilized psychologist to handle, or will she truly accept the man and win her hero’s heart?

Primal is book #2 in the Overwatch series and the first book I have read by this author. I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review so here goes...

Before we start I think we just need to take a moment to appreciate the cover of this book..... yep round of applause its bloody stunning!!!

Adam is unfortunately not as primal as I would have liked, don’t get me wrong he’s intense and dangerous but I expected sexy and overwhelmingly alpha things and for me he just fell a bit short.

Olivia is the classic too busy to be sexy female lead who swoons when confronted by a sexual man who’s capable of making her scream and hell don’t we all want one of those lol.

This book started off great and it has all of the components of a dirty little smutfest.... Sexy man – Check, Women in need of an orgasm – Check, BDSM Club to add some spice – Check.
Unfortunately regardless of it having all of the key components this book just wasn’t that dirty and it wasn’t a smutfest L

Please don’t think I didn’t like this book I did just not for the reasons I expected. Adam and Olivia are a sweet couple who have hot sex, he literally saves her and if that doesn’t make you go a bit weak at the knees what will!!

This book is cute and nice prior to the FSOG phenomenon this book would have been seen as risqué but these days it’s was just a bit tame lol.

I still enjoyed reading it and im glad that it had HEA however it just didn’t quite tick all of the boxes for me so I give it 3 stars.
