I loved this book, the moment Vincent made his first appearance I was hooked by this book. There's something about him that's incredibly appealing. I love that he's a bit alpha, but he's also mysterious and darkly sexy.
I love a book boy that's make you instantly fantasise about what they would look like if they were real.
Kirsten is a more difficult character to like; she's the typical fearful female character who denies she wants Vincent but obviously does.
I despair of some female characters, where are all the strong females who make a guy work for them!!!
I know that Kristen talks a good game at the start but she naked and shagging Vincent literally days after lecturing him about not having sex unless it's meaningful!!!
Luckily I'm swooning over Vincent so I'm going to overlook Kristen being a bit pathetic and focus on all the lovely sex and Vincent bring a super protective, alpha sex God lol.
I'm straight onto book #2 now Secret Surrender.

Grrrrrrr this book has frustrated me!!!
This whole instalment is just a bit whiny!!!
Don't get me wrong the sex is sexy but Vincent and Kristen’s relationship is just plain weird.
I really liked Vincent in the first instalment but in this book he comes across as a bit of a knob!
If you are travelling for 90% of the time don't get into a doomed relationship. Because let's be honest what Kristen and Vincent are at the moment is only a couple of steps up from bootie call!!!
Oh My God what is wrong with Kristen?? You have only been dating the bloke for a few weeks and in that time you have only seen him like 4 times. Who the hell do you think you are to be telling him he needs to change his life and his business!!!
If I didn't need to know what happens next id be tempted to abandon this series on pure principle of how annoying she is!!!
The sex in this book is hot, and to be honest it’s a massive redeeming factor. It keeps hinting at a kinkier undertone. Blindfolds, bondage and anal play, I say bring on the smut!!!

Well that was all very dramatic, make ups, break ups and unexpected arrivals.
For me this was all just a bit too much!!!
Neither Vincent nor Kristen comes across as particularly likeable characters. And together I thought they were a bit of a train wreck!!
I really wanted to like Vincent, in the first book I thought he was great but in this book he was just overly emotional and whiny.
Kristen is just a nightmare, she's whiny and childish and I honestly couldn't find a redeeming characteristic in her.
A question I have to ask is why when you have mace and a taser do you not manage to use either of them in an emergency situation. She just fell into the typical damsel in distress role "no, please stop" grrr just so frustrating!!!
All this drama could have worked in a full length novel but not in a short novella.
Sorry but this series started well and finished poorly, what a disappointment.
