It’s not until Sienna is attacked by a crazed YTS fan hired by Sam, and Sam starts to aim her verbal threats at Sienna’s grandmother, that Lucas finally reveals his secret. And it’s a big one...

As I’ve just read Emily Snows books Devoured then Consumed straight after each other so I’m gonna just do one review for both books.

Hmmmmm where to start with this book, well from the blurb for Devoured I figured it was gonna be a HOT!!! Read and well it had hints of smouldering sexiness but it never quite delivered.

The good bits.....

·         Lucas Wolfe he is a bit of an Alpha rock god what’s not to like.

·         I love a good psycho and Lucas’s Ex Sam is a complete nutter.

·         A twist and this has one right at the end of Consumed wasn’t sure how they would solve Lucas’s secret but I love that it being Sam came out of left field.

And the annoying bits....

·         The fact that Sam suddenly decided to get a conscience at the end and turn herself in even after she had been so insane and intent on hurting Sienna??? WTF

·         Sienna I loved her in her feisty moments but she frustrated the hell out of me in her doormat moments.

Ok so here why I’m struggling with these books......

For me they are not enough they are neither kinky smut nor rock star shenanigans, Emily Snow in my opinion has not been brave enough to make Lucas a proper Dom and this is a shame.

I like what I like to call Girl Porn aka 50 shades series, This Man series etc and although the sex and alpha men are an added bonus what I liked is how the author has committed to a theme and gone with it. I’m also a sucker for a good rock star aka The Storm series, and it just seemed like this book never fully committed to either side or hell I would have loved it if Lucas would have been both a full on dom and a rock god lol!!!

In the first book Devoured, Sienna is the one that got away she didn’t fancy lucus’s kink so left (fair play if it doesn’t float your boat) and then she agrees to act as his PA for 10 days in exchange for her Grandmother’s house that Lucas has brought after it was repossessed. Now perhaps I have a dirty mind (I kinda do lol) but I was expecting to squirm with how sexy it was..... But he actually had her acting as his PA I actually stopped reading and had a full on OK so I wasn’t expecting that moment.

Ok so I’m going to rant for a minute at the end of book one Devoured Lucas sends Sienna away after 8 days of their 10 day contracted he’s awful to her and dismisses her like she was a paid for whore... this is all bad enough but book 2 Consumed starts 5 months after the end of book 1 and when Lucas writes a song for Sienna and then turns up on her door step saying his sorry and that she still owes him 2 days I would have kicked him in the balls!!!.  But does that happen??? No she just sort of says yes and leaves with him??????? He definitely needed to grovel a LOT more.

Don’t get me wrong I read both books straight through in one go yesterday but when I woke up this morning I had already forgotten what happened, if I love a book it plays on my mind this might be for a good reason or because I hated it soooo much but for me these books were just mediocre.
