This is Falling by Ginger Scott - 4 Stars

This is Falling by Ginger Scott

4 Sweet Romance stars
Blurb - First, I had to remember how to breathe. Then, I had to learn how to survive. Two years, three months and sixteen days had passed since I was the Rowe Stanton from before, since tragedy stole my youth and my heart went along with it.

When I left for college, I put a thousand miles between my future and my past. I’d made a choice—I was going to cross back to the other side, to
live with the living. I just didn’t know how.

And then I met Nate Preeter.

An All-American baseball player, Nate wasn’t supposed to notice a ghost-of-a-girl like me. But he did. He shouldn’t want to know my name. But he did. And when he learned my secret and saw the scars it left behind, he was supposed to run. But he didn’t.

My heart was dead, and I was never supposed to belong to anyone. But Nate Preeter had me feeling, and he made me want to be his. He showed me everything I was missing.

And then he showed me how to fall.

This is Falling is a standalone novel by an author I was not familiar with, I was given a review copy by the publisher in exchange for an honest review so here goes...

I enjoyed this book it’s a romance but with a darker undertone that allows it to feel a bit deeper than your average college romance.

I liked Rowe, she’s fragile and innocent to a certain degree, but she is fighting to find her internal strength and I found her incredible endearing.

Nate is an absolute sweetheart and I would imagine that every female reader will instantly fall in love with him!

On The surface this is a sweet story of young love and newly found independence, but Rowe
comes with a history.  She was the victim of a horrific shooting that killed her best friend and made her boyfriend suffer brain damage that resulted in him being unable to care for himself.

Rowe was practically a recluse until leaving to attend college and I love the delicate and gentle way that her mental illness was dealt with. Ginger Smith wrote Rowe’s anxiety and fears in a way that I felt like I could completely understand her state of mind.

I loved Nate he was funny and confident but he never came across as a dick.

The banter between Rowe & Nate was hilarious and I spent a lot of time sniggering and chuckling along with the arguments.

At times I found Rowe a little annoying and perhaps slightly self absorbed, I know that her life has essentially been on hold for the last two years but hell she isn’t an idiot. I just wanted to snap her out of Rowe land at times!!

I loved Rowe & Nate as a couple they were adorably sickly sweet, he brought her out of her shell and made her rejoin her life they were just super cute.

Now I know that this book was about Rowe & Nate but for me TJ & Cass absolutely stole the show and I can’t wait to read their book.

This book is a quick read that will leave you with a smile and wanting more 4 stars.
