Charlotte Ferro is about to jump.

Yet nothing ruins a perfectly good suicide attempt worse than a handsome do-gooder. After William O’Reilly convinces her to take one last ride with him, Charlotte finds herself forgetting about her own problems and enjoying a world of which she never dreamed.

Now addicted to the rush of fast cars and cool criminals, Charlotte finds herself leaning less towards the ledge and more toward the arms of her savior. But with reasons of his own for keeping Charlotte safe from herself, William is reluctant to involve her in his criminal undertakings. Will his career choice keep them apart? Will Charlotte’s painful past?

My Review
4.5 Emotional Beautiful Stars

Breakdown is the first book I have read by this author, I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review so here goes....

This book was much more than I expected I know that sounds like an odd thing to say but that’s the only way I can describe it.

The blurb tells the reader that this book is about Charlotte trying to commit suicide but that really doesn’t express how deeply the author delves into the characters mindset.

Charlotte or Jumper as William calls her is so incredibly sad, her desolateness just pours out of every word Amanda Lance writes for her and I felt it. I felt an instant connection to her and I genuinely worried for her.

I’m going to be honest an say that I don’t care what William has done in the past or what he does for a living I absolutely adore him!!! He is literally Charlotte’s guardian angel. I love that he is sweet and kind and thoughtful about everything he does for her.

I felt like William and Charlotte have a deep connection and I was completely absorbed by the tentative relationship they start.

The street racing, dodgy dealing and all the other stuff in this book sort of paled to background noise, William and Charlotte was really the only thing I paid attention too.

I really liked this book,   it was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster for me, Charlotte pain was so evident and consuming that when William started to impact her life I honestly smiled with the feeling of hope that started to shine through.

I don’t want to giveaway any spoilers but I will say that this book has a happy ending.

There were random things that I have to rant a bit about though; William gets Charlotte involved in his dodgy dealings which is sooooo not cool!! And although they get a HEA I kind of needed to know if he got honest or if her continued to live his less than legal life??

I really got involved with this story, I loved the couple and I really needed Charlotte to find a reason to live and thrive, this book gets 4.5 stars from me.
