Lost in Flight by Neeny Boucher
Complicated Love #1
4.5 Sexy, Weird, Fighting Stars
Blurb - If you like your characters quirky, socially awkward and badly behaved, this is the book for you. What if you got another chance with the love of your life even when you didn’t want one? Would you grab the opportunity or run as fast as you could in the opposite direction?

Christina Martin, lawyer, ex high school grunge queen, teenage bride, divorcee and once a suspected killer, is confronted by a past that she has spent the last eight years carefully avoiding. Drawn back to her hated hometown with her family under the worst of circumstances, matters are complicated when she finds the love of her life, ex husband and nemesis, Nicholas Riley, also in residence.

Riley, a man with secrets, who has a penchant for psychological games, made wary by life and with one weakness, his ex wife. Christina is the woman that brings out all his protective instincts and others less noble. All it takes is one fateful night, where these two collide; opening a door both thought slammed shut and locked forever.

From the past to the present, Christina and Riley show that true love doesn’t always run smoothly, it might not conquer all and most importantly, love is complicated.

Lost in Flight is book #1 in the Complicated Love Series by Neeny Boucher and the first book I have read by this author, I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review so here goes....

This book is funny, I found myself chuckling and smirking to myself almost the whole way through. It’s also kind of odd lol the characters are all a bit strange!!!

Christina and Riley are an amazing couple he’s smug and she’s self righteous, they have the most brilliant fights and I just loved them!!!!

Christina is like two different people when she’s with her friends or family she’s witty and funny and normal but the moment she is around riley she is either screaming, crying or ripping his clothes off.

I LOVE Riley don’t get me wrong he’s a smug bastard and at times I wanted to reach into the book and slap the grin off his scheming face lol. At times he is just plain nasty and he laughs at her I’m amazed he’s got all balls left intact lol.

Underneath it all for both Christina and Riley it’s just all bravado they are soooo incredibly in love with each other they literally have no idea how to deal with it.

Every time Riley and Christina spoke to each other it made me smile, even if they were arguing they just had so much passion for each other they were just infectious.

This couple has so much history spanning from the age of 15 to the current day and they have had so many ups and downs but they just can’t fall out of love with each other and I just think that so beautiful. Theirs is the type of love that outlasts hate and age and misunderstandings and I’m willing them to get their happily ever after.

This book is super quirky and I really liked all of the rest of the characters even the super weird Massssson Glenn lol. All of the characters feel like one big dysfunctional family that centres around the Martins lol.

The dynamic between Christina, Mandy and Bonnie was hilarious and they bounced off each other and the banter was brilliant. I got drawn into their friendship and I felt the love they had for each other.

I loved the boys too Jed and Andy James were like a comedy act!!!

I haven’t even mentioned the sex and hell I really need to, its seriously hot and steamy Christina and Riley literally can’t keep their hands off each other.

This book made me feel instantly at home, that may sound daft but I was just so drawn into the world and the story that I got completely absorbed.

I couldn’t put this book down and I finally finished it at just after 4am I’m super tired but as soon as this review is finished I’m going to be starting book #2 The Ties That Bind.

I loved this book quirks and all it gets 4.5 stars from me!!!
