| 3.5 Too Nice Stars |
For Now is book #2 in the
Rules of Love Series, it’s the first book I have read by this author and I was
lucky enough to have been given an ARC in exchange for an honest review so here
goes....
Hazel and Javi are incredibly sweet characters and this is a
sweet story of them falling in love.
This book is a slow burn but once Javi and Hazel decide to
be together they are literally the cutest couple.
To be honest I was waiting for the fall out and blow up that
usually occurs with this type of book but it never happened.
I haven’t read the previous book in the series but I get the
impression that Hazel is a bitch trying to be nice and Javi is a player trying
to behave. Somehow they balance each other out and work well together as a
couple.
I loved Hazel when she was snarky and I missed her attitude
once her and Javi hit the ‘Babe’ stage.
I’m sorry to say that I think this book is just too nice!!!
I know that’s such a stupid thing to say how can a romance be too nice. I think
I’m getting cynical in my old age and I feel like even book couples need to go
through some hardship before they get their happily ever after!!!
I really liked jett and Shannon but again they are the
nicest couple in the world ever!!!
This book is the perfect book for a beach holiday it’s just a
good old fashioned nice love, sorry but I just need a bit more grit so this
gets 3.5 stars from me.
