men.
Roxy thinks she has
men figured out, that is until she meets Kade. He storms into her life like a
knight on a white horse to save her. He makes her question everything she ever
thought she knew about life, men and herself.
With a past that keeps holding her back will Kade be able to break down her walls?
Will he be able to prove to Roxy that everything she thinks she knows about men is wrong, or will he prove her right?

Breaking my Heart
is book #1 in the My Heart Series and the first book i have read by this
author. I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review so
here goes...
I’m not sure if this is the first novel by this
author but this book starts off a bit awkward. The language is a bit stiff and
unsure, but this could have been the authors intend to show how people are when
they first meet someone and start a relationship lol.
For me it was about half way through before I
settled into this story.
I actually loved the idea that Roxy was the aggressor
and more experienced one in the couple it makes a change from your typical
innocent, virgin female protagonist.
I kinda loved Roxy, yes she’s a bit insecure but
what women isn’t, I loved that she is insatiable and sexually pursues Kade. We
women have needs to and sometimes we need sex and a good orgasm more than men
lol!!!
I swung back and forth about Kade he was a real
marmite character for me at times I thought he was a sexy angel but then the
next minute I wanted to reach into the book and throttle him!!!
Jemma was hands down the best wing women ever I
loved her!!!
I really hated Kade at the end of the book what
an arse I just don’t understand his motivation at all.
The maturity levels seem worlds apart between
Roxy and Kade she seemed like a world weary 25yr old and he was a bit pathetic
still living at home and being a bit of a wuss at 24!!
I enjoyed this book and as I was gifted a copy
of the next book in the series as well I’m going straight onto Healing My
Heart.
Book #1 Breaking my Heart gets 3.5 stars from
me.

4 Kade Is An Idiot Stars! |
Blurb
- Roxy is in a bind...
Should she stay true to herself or should she follow her wounded heart back to her first love?
Back to the one who left her heartbroken and alone.
Should she stay true to herself or should she follow her wounded heart back to her first love?
Back to the one who left her heartbroken and alone.
Who will be the one
to help heal her heart?
Will it be Dylan,
who started as her re-bound, but has become her strength and her life line over
the past few months.
Or will it be Kade,
the one who stole her heart and showed her the true meaning of love. Then
showed her all the despair, vulnerability and pain a broken heart can cause.
Which path will bring her to her happily ever after?
Which path will bring her to her happily ever after?
Healing my Heart
is book #2 in the My Heart Series.
Because I was
gifted both books 1&2 in the series I’ve gone straight from the first book
to the second so here goes....
Healing my Heart picks
up a couple of months after the end of the first book.
Kade is a proper
idiot!!!
I mean seriously
he needs someone to just slap him round the head and shout ‘idiot’ at him!!
I feel so sorry
for Roxy she gets her heart broken and then she ends up with Dylan the psycho!!
I do love a good
psycho and Dylan is as mad as a box of frog’s lol!!!
Personally I
think that Kade really didn’t have to work hard enough to get back into Roxy’s
good graces. She should definitely have made him work abit harder for it in my
opinion!!
This book really
highlights Roxy and Jemma's relationship and I really loved the camaraderie and
banter between them.
This book seemed
much shorter than the first book, I’m not sure if it was but the author feels
like she found her stride with this second book. Every page felt conversational
and easy to read.
Roxy and Kade
fell straight back into the easy connection they shared from the first book and
the sex was smoking hot!
There’s a third
book and I think that may be something to do with the blonde in the crowd but I’m
hoping that ultimately Roxy and Kade get their happily ever after.
I have enjoyed
this series so far and I loved the added drama and tension that this book
brought so this gets 4 stars from me!
