| 3.5 Too Much Sex Not Enough Other Stuff Stars |
#1 Crush is book #1 in the Loose Ends Series, this
is the first book I have read by this author and I was lucky enough to have
been gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I had quite a fixed opinion of this book, and I
knew what this review was going to say right up till the point a few minutes
ago when I realised that this is book #1 in a 3 book series.
This book is a bit of a funny onion, it is
literally jam packed with sex, like there’s so much sex it got to be a bit
daft!!!!
I kind of liked both Nicole and Gabriel but to be
truthful apart from the fact that she has a longstanding crush on him and that he’s
a commitmentphobe. The only thing we learn about them is that they like a lot
of quite rough sex!!!
When I finished the book I thought it was a
standalone and I was a bit disappointed that there was no real resolution to
the story. Now that I know there will be more books it feels more like a
cliffhanger and I’m good with that.
There is definitely a sexual connection between
this couple and sexually they seriously float one another’s boats!!! This book
boasts lots of sex in lots of positions and a fair bit of dirty talking.
Personally I missed some kind of emotional
connection and the dialogue that builds the romance.
I’m not really sure if this is the start of a
romance from Gabriel and Nicole or simply a fling!!!
This book has left me a bit confused.
Its sex, sex and more sex and that’s great but for
me there needs to be something deeper.
#1 Crush gets 3.5 stars from me.
