***Review - Dangled Caret by Hilary Grossman - 2 stars***

***Review***
Dangled Caret by Hilary Grossman
2 I hated it stars!!

Blurb - For every girl who wondered if she should love him or dump him.....

For every girl who listened to her heart instead of her friend’s advice....

For every girl who l wondered if she was wasting her time dating that guy....

meet Hilary....

She had gotten used to dating the commitment-phobic Marc, thirteen years her senior. They had a great relationship--why rush into things? She saw no need to pressure him for marriage, believing that when the time was right, he would propose. But after they had been together for four years, their friends decided to take matters into their own hands, pushing Marc to propose and making Hilary realize how much she really did want to marry the man that she loved. Unfortunately, Marc still wasn't ready--and their friends' meddling in the form of a faux engagement party led to a disastrous New Year's Eve that brought their relationship to an inevitable turning point.

Dangled Caret is the first book I have read by this author, I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review so here goes....

God I don’t even know where to start with this book...

I’m sorry but I hated it!!!

The blurb says “For every girl who wondered if she should love him or dump him....” well I’m sorry but when it comes to Marc she should have dumped his ass!!!

Marc is the most self centred, idiotic male leads I have ever read!!!

This isn’t a love story its Hilary being a doormat for 5 years until Marc has been badgered into marrying her by the relentless harassment of his friends and family!!!

It was a year before he introduced her to his family and friends seriously WTF!!!

I mean seriously it took him 4 years to ask her to move in, any girl with even a small amount of self respect would not have put up with being a weekend only girlfriend for years on end!!!

I felt really sorry for Hilary, she had some serious abandonment issues and I really felt like she deserved someone who took her feelings into consideration.

At the start of the book I really thought that Marc would become a loving and attentive partner, but all I heard was cute nice things he did for Hilary after being a complete arse to her!!

When he finally asked her to marry him I was willing her to say no!!!!

It’s rare that I take an instant dislike to a character but I just can’t get over how much I hate Marc!!

I wanted her to dump his ass then find a lovely bloke who would worship the ground she walked on. This wasn’t a romance but a cautionary tale.

I’m giving this 2 stars just not for me!
