***Character Blitz & Review***
Mad Love by Colet Abedi

23-year-old aspiring artist Sophie Walker can think of no better place than the exotic paradise of the Maldives Islands to escape the wrath of her controlling parents, the monotony of her boring legal work and her passionless boyfriend. With her two best friends along for the ride and to help her find herself again, Sophie is not prepared for the enigmatic Clayton Sinclair. Clayton comes from another world of privilege that seems like a fantasy to Sophie.  Can this man introduce her to the passion & seduction she never realized she was desperately searching for? Sophie quickly becomes ensnared in Clayton's seductive web until a shocking treachery makes her question her judgment and actions.

Clayton

CEO

Oil, deep water drilling, and maritime transportation
Cool, confident, intelligent, successful, and always the center of attention- and not to mention extremely attractive. He knows exactly what he wants out of life and how he's going to get it and others can’t help but be drawn by his boldness and charisma. His good looks and charm makes him a highly sought after lover and he knows it. However, he can be controlling and demanding at times which can be hard on relationships.
DAVID GANDY

Excerpt:
“I told you, Sophie. I don’t share. And I don’t do games. And I especially don’t do jealousy.”
Well shit, he certainly seems jealous to me. Right?
“You could have fooled me.”
I can’t believe I just said that. Talk about uttering some bold shit. Even Clayton seems surprised by my words. I see it for a split second before his eyes turn cloudy and guarded. I’ve managed to pull my hand from his and back a bit away from him, hoping to gain some distance from the towering god. The angry, towering god, I might add.
“You’re right.”
At first I don’t think I’ve heard him correctly because honestly, it’s the last thing in the world I’d expect him to admit to me, but he does. Before I can even have a second to be happy about that revelation, he starts to stalk me. I back away from him until I’m cornered against a wall with nowhere to go. He leans into me, hands on both sides of my head, trapping any possible exit I could make.
“You’re absolutely right, Sophie. And it’s a first for me. A fucking first. And I’ve decided I don’t like the feeling at all.”
I lose my stomach. I feel a rush of excitement move through my body. I can barely breathe. He’s never been jealous before? I try not to smile in giddy pleasure.
“So what now?” I whisper. He smiles darkly at my innocent question.
“So now I’m going to find out why the hell I’m so drawn to you. I’m going to see if you taste as good as you look.”

My Review
5 Brilliant, Brilliant Stars!!

Mad Love is the first book I have read by this author, I can assure you it won’t be the last!!! I was lucky enough to be gifted a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review so here goes....

The name of my blog is Gemma Reads Too Much For It To Be Normal Book Blog so as you can imagine I read a lot of books lol. I’m incredibly lucky that a good 90% of the books I read are gifts from the author, publisher or promotions company. Not all of the books I review are good, some are terrible but on occasion I find an incredible book from an incredible author and it reaffirms why I do this!!!

I LOVED this book, I loved it because it made me smile, it made me laugh out loud and simply because I didn’t want it to end!!!

For any of you out there that have read the ‘This Man’ trilogy from Jodi Ellen Malpas I’m sure you will agree that Jesse is such an asshole that you instantly fall in love with him!!!

Well Clayton just knocked Jesse off my topspot for my favourite Asshole lol!!!

I have fallen totally and completely in love with Clayton, he’s the perfect jerk. He’s domineering, rude, controlling, jealous and over bearing but it’s all the best possible way. In any other character these obnoxious characteristics would be a nightmare.  We would class him as a control freak stalker and be urging Sophie to take out a restraining order and run as fast as she could in the other direction!!!

Somehow Colet Abedi has managed to make him sexy and sweet and all those horrible things are now endearing and thoughtful and wonderful!!!!

I’m jealous of Sophie because I would love a man to be so obsessed with me that he was insanely jealous and be so possessive he wanted to claim me as his. This is all daft I’m happily married and if my husband tried any of Clayton’s tricks with me I’d probably laugh at him lol. But I still felt that catch in my chest whilst I read this that said wouldn’t it be wonderful if he wanted me with that intensity!!

OMG when he told her she was his and made he tell him I swooned, I mean I literally felt my knees go weak!!!!

But aside from the heart warming, adorable romance this book is also bloody funny!!! Sophie is hilarious and Erik had me in stitches. Their banter was brilliant and really made me believe that they had a long standing friendship, that meant you can forgo the filter and just be brutally honest.

And Christ the SEX!!! Hot damn its properly sexy, Clayton sex’s Sophie up in every way I was in a permanent state of flush lol!!!

I can’t believe how this book ended seriously OMG!!! (Yes I have used OMG twice in the review (rolls eyes) I’m ashamed of me too!!) And the sneak peak for book two just sent me over the edge!!!

I NEED book two like NOW!!! And I’m in full blow stalker mode; I’ve tweeted Colet Abedi and emailed the promo company. I will track a copy of book two down even if I have to beg for it!!!

Colet if you read this review I’m begging can I have a copy of book #2 to review pretty, pretty, pretty please!!!

This is a brilliant book, its romantic and sexy and funny, I couldn’t put it down and I was gutted when it ended 5 Stars from me.
