Seduced by Fire by Tara Sue Me
Yes Sir four stars
Blurb - Julie Masterson craves a taste of danger.

Despite being familiar with the different games people play in the bedroom, she’s never given in to her curiosity about putting her body in someone else’s power—until a chance meeting with Daniel Covington, the seductive Senior VP of Weston Bank, draws her into a titillating new world of sexual experience, one that she never knew she desperately needed.

Daniel is highly respected within his community, but he hasn’t had an exclusive relationship for over two years. Yet Julie’s eager innocence is driving him to the brink of ecstasy, making him rethink his feelings about commitment.
As their sizzling connection heats up, Daniel is ready to take Julie fully under his command. But when the dangerous side of their play rears its ugly head, Julie will have to decide if she trusts him enough to surrender completely—or if she should escape before she gets burned...

Seduced by Fire is the first book in Tara Sue Me’s new series Partners in Play. I loved this author’s Dominant series it was elegant smut, the perfect balance of kink and class.
Ok so the new book is another example of how Tara Sue Me is a girl porn genius, Julie is a character we can all relate to. She has fantasised about being dominated by a man, she has dreamt about it and I’m sure we can all admit that we have all thought hmm would I like it!!
The sex in this book is HOT it’s sexy and well written and it’s not too graphic, you can feel the chemistry from Daniel and Julie from the very first time they meet.
So the good bits...
·         I like both Julie and Daniel, they are both nice people they are not damaged or fragile that’s something new for this genre and it’s a breath of fresh air.
·         The kink is kinky but taken at a pace that a beginner would be comfortable with, again the scenes are something we could all imagine it’s relatable.
And the bad bits...
·         I’m picking faults here but Daniel didn’t fight hard enough for Julie he just let her go... Idiot!!!
I loved this book; I loved Daniel and Julie together.
Daniel is openly vulnerable and I liked that in his character, many book doms are so stoic that you can get to a point that you forget they are human.
Julie is reticent to get into the BDSM community, the idea that there is basically ‘Am I a sub’ support group made me chuckle.
This book seems like it offers a more subtle insight to the sub/dom lifestyle and it focuses on the expectations of a Dom perhaps even more than the sub. I liked the almost role reversal from many other books of this genre where is all about the sub submitting and really the Dom role is almost an afterthought.
This book is unique in that when Sasha is hurt after a scene with her Dom peter, we see the BDSM community at work. Peter is forced to face consequences for endangering his sub and as penance he has to be gagged and whipped in the same manner that her hurt Sasha. Again we see the role reversal that the Dom is in the wrong and punished, I love that Tara Sue Me has shown some of the darker side of the dom/sub lifestyle but addressed it in an elegant way.
The sex scenes in this book are definitely squirm worthy and had me fanning myself when I got a little hot under the collar. I’ve read so many books recently that aim to be sexy but end up either being so explicit that they make you want to scrub your imagination or so awkward that you cringe while you read. Tara Sue Me writes good sex lol, she makes you part of the action (so to speak) and drags you into the drama.
Overall this is a great book and even if you are not into the kinky element of it the love story shines through.
Although this book focuses on Daniel and Julie the rest of the characters also shine through, I can’t wait for Dena & Jeff’s story and you just know that Cole is going to be the Dom to bring back Sasha’s inner sub.
Ok so did I like this book hell yes or should I say ‘Yes Sir’.....
