Fostering Love is the first book in the Soul Sisters Series, which tells the story of four girls, friendship and their path to finding ‘the one’.
Being “soul sisters” is a way of life for Dalton, Amelia, Charlotte and Florence.

| 4.5 Just What I Needed Stars |
Fostering Love is book #1 in the Soul Sisters
Series by Victoria Johns; I was approached by Victoria herself and asked if I
would be interested in reading and providing an honest review.
There are days when I wonder why I blog, I question
if anyone reads what I say and then I think well do I care if anyone reads it
lol.
Then I get approached by an author direct and asked
if I would give them my opinion on their work and it’s such a lovely feeling, a
real sense of pride that they want to know what I think.
So here’s my honest review of Fostering Love....
This is a classic romance story and at the end of
the day who doesn’t love a good romance.
Jonas is a walking dirty dream, he’s aloof and
brooding but he’s also sexy and macho and then he flips into alpha man mode and
I literally went weak at the knees.
Dolly is adorable and quirky with a quick temper
and a sex kitten side that all combine to make her instantly likeable. I love
the fact that she wasn’t perfect, she was clumsy and at times awkward and a
nice normal girl.
This small town feels like a real community and the
whole book had a warm family vibe to it. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the
author was a Gilmore Girls fan because this town totally made me think of Stars
Hollow.
Dolly, Neely, Flo and Lottie were such a lovely
group of friends, I loved the trouble they caused and the way they bantered
between one another.
Talk about some serious sparks well Dolly and Jonas
were lucky that they didn’t set things on fire. God when they had their ‘one
night’ and he kicked up the alpha stuff to kinky mode I was squirming in my
seat.
The sex was HOT and not in an extreme BDSM way but
in the sexy and steamy way. I felt like a bit of a voyeur because the way the
sex scenes were written was so intense and intimate that it felt real.
Leticia aka Tits was a complete nutter and I
laughed out loud when Dolly nailed her in the supermarket!!! She needed to get
her comeuppance sooner than she did.
Now at times I could have quite happily slapped
Jonas round the head. He was pigheaded and an idiot at times but I still loved
how he took control and protected Dolly.
God is there anything sexier than being claimed by
a strong possessive man, when he said ‘mine’ I may have swooned just a tad.
I’m not going to include any spoilers so all I’m
going to say is ohhhhhhh I love a good bit of edge of your seat drama and this
book gives you that too lol!!
I really enjoyed this book; I’ve read a few hard,
dark books lately so this book was a step back into the light for me and a much
needed HEA.
As soon as I finished this book I was begging
Victoria for a copy of book #2 Neely’s story.
I loved this lovely, kinky romance 4.5 stars
